Spill Containment & Spill Kits
Spill containment solutions and spill kits are essential components for safety protocols in various industries, particularly those handling hazardous materials and liquids which pose a risk to the surrounding environment. Taking the necessary precautions to limit and prevent any incidents can be done by using a range of drip trays and spill kits.
Drip Trays and Spill Pallets
Are vital tools in spill prevention and environmental protection, particularly in industries where liquids such as oils, chemicals, or hazardous substances are stored or used. Drip trays are shallow, portable containers placed under equipment, machinery, or containers to catch drips, leaks, or minor spills, preventing the spread of liquids and protecting floors and surfaces. Spill pallets, on the other hand, are larger containment platforms designed to hold barrels or IBC containers of liquids. These spill pallets feature built-in sumps that can capture and contain larger spills, providing a secure storage solution that helps prevent environmental contamination. Both drip trays and spill pallets are essential for maintaining a safe workplace, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and reducing the risk of costly cleanup and damage.
Barrel Spill Pallets
We have a range of spill pallets designed for storing 205L barrels. From single barrels to 4 barrels these spill pallets are designed to catch and contain any drips or leaks. These pallets come in a range of sizes with options ranging in styles including low profile, fork accessible and material.
Drip Trays
We provide a full range of smaller drip trays for drums and other containers. With a range of sizes available.
Barrel & IBC Bunds
A Bund id designed to hold 110% of the contents of the container being stored on top, meaning if the container was to fail – the bund would have the capacity to hold its entire contents.
Whether made from steel or plastic, play a crucial role in spill containment and environmental protection. These secondary containment systems are designed to catch and hold spills or leaks from tanks, drums, and other containers, preventing hazardous substances from reaching the environment. Steel bunds offer robust, durable protection, ideal for industries dealing with corrosive chemicals or flammable liquids. They are highly resistant to impact and can withstand harsh conditions, making them suitable for long-term use.
On the other hand, plastic bunds are lightweight, easy to handle, and resistant to a wide range of chemicals. They provide a cost-effective and versatile solution for spill containment in various settings. Both steel and plastic bunds are essential for complying with environmental regulations.
Approved & Certification
In some applications it may be required for certificate of conformity to ensure the bund is manufactured to the correct standards, our range of Dbit approved bunds conform to the highest standard and each come fully plated to reflect this
Spill Kits
Spill kits, ranging from 20L to 240L, are essential for effectively managing spills of varying sizes in workplaces. These kits are specifically designed to handle and contain spills of hazardous substances, oils, chemicals, or general liquids. The 20L spill kits are compact and portable, ideal for smaller spills or to have on hand in tight spaces or mobile units.
As the size increases to 120L and 240L, these kits provide greater capacity and are equipped to manage larger spills, making them suitable for industrial settings with higher risks of significant spill events. Each kit typically includes absorbent pads, booms, gloves, and disposal bags, tailored to the specific type of spill. Having the appropriate spill kit size on-site ensures a rapid response to spills, minimizing environmental impact, and maintaining a safe, compliant workplace.
Spill Clay
For some spills of larger volume spills it may be more suitable to use a spill clay or recycled wood fibre to absorb the spill. These products can cover large areas and have an extremely high absorbency.
Recycled wood fibre can also be used in areas that are fire sensitive as it will act as a fire retardant.
