Tully Nurseries – B.Smart Installation

Tully Nurseries a leading horticultural business based in Ireland, specializes in the production and distribution of high-quality plants, trees, and shrubs. With a strong commitment to sustainable practices and operational efficiency, Tully Nurseries sought to streamline their fuel management processes due to an expanding vehicle fleet size. To achieve this, they decided to install the PIUSI BSMART cloud-based fuel management system, integrating a 9,000-litre and a 2,500-liter green diesel tank.

Efficient Fuel Monitoring: The B.Smart system enables real-time monitoring of fuel levels and consumption, which overall improves fuel management, which becomes increasingly more difficult as a fleet expands. The versatility of the cloud based B.smart system  meets the current demands of their fleet and also allows for further expansion of vehicles, drivers & additional pumps or sites in the future.

Cost Control: Tully’s required a system that could segregate three key components of their business, allowing them to allocate fuel costs to specific departments. Theses consisted of Transport, internal usage and their landscaping division. The reporting capabilities of the B.smart system achieves this and enables them to create reports from specific vehicles, drivers etc.  This was also essential for forecasting fuel usage during periods of the year, giving the ability to predict times of which higher stock levels of diesel would be required, providing further insight into purchasing fuel at a competitive time in preparation for high usage periods.

Fuel Storage: Due to the increasing number of vehicles, the demand for on site fuel had increased. Therefore they opted to increase their storage capacity to a 9,000-litre white diesel tank, a 2,500-litre green diesel tank, and an 1,350 litre AdBlue tank. All of which are connected to pumps & hose reels for ease of access.

Real-Time Monitoring: The cloud-based platform provides real-time visibility of fuel levels, enabling proactive refills and eliminating the risk of fuel shortages, ensuring uninterrupted operations.  Accurate fuel consumption data and reporting allows Tully Nurseries to optimize fuel usage and identify inefficiencies, leading to cost savings and enhanced operational efficiency.
