Certa Ireland : HVO

Challenge:

To meet this challenge, Certa Ireland partnered with Rotech, a leading provider of fuel management solutions, to install Piusi Cloud based fuel systems on HVO (Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil) ready tanks across multiple sites throughout Ireland. The main challenge for Certa Ireland was to find a fuel management system that could provide them with accurate and reliable data on fuel usage, and that could be monitored remotely from their main office in Portlaoise.

Solution:

The BSmart Fuel Management cloud based systems from Rotech provided Certa Ireland with an efficient and effective solution to their fuel management needs. The cloud-based system allowed Certa Ireland to access real-time data on fuel usage, as well as historical data for analysis and forecasting. The BSmart system also provided Certa Ireland with alerts for any unusual fuel usage, allowing them to quickly identify and address any issues that may arise. A major selling point of this system to Certa is the ability to monitor tank contents and the low level alarms that the Watchdog system offers across their 25 sites. The ability of Rotech to provide a turnkey system, from the supply of bunded HVO tanks, installation of the BSmart System and delivery to site was a key part of this project.

Rotech’s team of experienced technicians worked closely with Certa Ireland to ensure that the system was installed and configured to meet their specific requirements. The team provided training to Certa Ireland’s staff on how to use the system and provided ongoing support and maintenance to ensure that the system is always running smoothly.

By running their entire fleet on HVO Certa Ireland hoped to reduce their emissions by up to 90%. Other benefits of using HVO are it has a 10 year shelf life, exceptional cold weather performance & reduces noise pollution.
